# mbrandomproducts for PrestaShop

Free PrestaShop module showing randomly picked products in a page or in a theme block.

## What it does

It picks products at random among the active ones and shows them in a page of their own or in a theme block, with the number of products and the categories set from the panel.

No dependencies, no external calls, few lines to read. It is published on GitHub under the AFL 3.0 licence, the same one PrestaShop modules use.

The pick happens on each load and keeps no fixed list: two visits in a row show different products. It respects the shop's own rules on active products, availability and customer groups, so it never puts in the window something the customer could not buy.

It came out of real work on a shop under management, where the catalogue had to keep moving without being touched by hand every week. It was pulled out of that shop and published because the problem is common to anyone with a large catalogue and a static home page.

## Where it stands

Published on 5 September 2026 and maintained. Issues go on GitHub, and fixes come out there. Tested on PrestaShop 1.7 and 8.x.

## What it does not do

It is a small module and stays small: no purchase based recommendations, no profiling, no promise of more sales. It shows random products, which is exactly what the name says.
