AI register for WordPress
Keeps the register of artificial intelligence usage inside WordPress, marks the content and keeps the record of human review.
What it does
Every call going through the WordPress 7.0 AI client gets recorded: provider, model, tokens spent, who made it, on which content, and whether a human review followed.
Generated content is marked with the Commission's official icons, the site publishes its transparency page and the notice on the chatbot.
The owner decides who may use AI and on what, and exports the register when somebody asks for it.

The law
Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 requires, in article 50, that generated or manipulated content be disclosed, and in article 4 that whoever uses AI knows what they are doing. Both apply from 2 August 2026. Documented human review is what moves a piece of content out of the marking duty, which is why it has to be recorded.

Where it stands
The AI client hooks were read in the WordPress 7.0 source on 5 September 2026, with file and line numbers. Coding starts after the two plugins on decree 30/2026: Pro goes on sale in November 2026 with the free trial, the free version enters the repository in January 2027.
What it does not do
The register sees what goes through the WordPress AI client. Text written elsewhere and pasted in leaves no trace by itself: it has to be marked by hand, and the plugin allows it.
